Los Angeles – Part 1

October 27- November 4 Dockweiler State Beach The beach! That’s all I can say; the boys were in awe with their first views of the beach. We stayed at an RV park that is as close to the beach as you can get in LA. It’s basically a parking lot, I’m not complaining, it’s close to everything and we can see the ocean! The first thing we did was to visit friends and their new baby. Love these people so much! We had a great dinner, and the kids played all night. We had school and work for the...

Disneyland

October 23-26 Anaheim RV Park The time has come that we have been talking about since the kids were old enough to know about it, Disney!! We were planning to spend 3 days in the 2 Disney parks. We ended up spending 4 days. I bought tickets through a website called MouseSavers; I got 3 day park hopper tickets and the 4th day was free. If you’re planning a trip to Disney, you should check it out. We got to Anaheim and set up, the boys thought we were just going to hang out and go the next day....

Palm Springs / Joshua Tree

October 12-22 Palm Springs RV Resort California!! It’s HOT! The first few days we were in Palm Springs it was close to 100°. We didn’t spend much time outside during the day unless we were in the pool. What can I say about Palm Springs? It was a good time to stop for a bit and regroup after going through places so quickly. We did get to spend a few days in Joshua Tree. What a cool place, it’s like being on another planet. The first day we drove through part of the park, and then we went to...

Lake Havasu, AZ

October 7-11, 2015 We were definitely ready for some warmer weather and we found it! Just outside Lake Havasu, Arizona, on the Parker Strip. We found a place called The Pirate’s Den. The boys got a kick out of it, it’s a pirate themed RV resort right on the river. We had a beachfront RV spot, heaven! It felt like we were in the Florida Keys. We spent a lot of time floating and swimming. The boys got snorkels and were really getting the hang of using them. There are 2 restaurants just in case you don’t feel like...

Grand Canyon

October 4-7, 2015 It’s time to go to the Grand Canyon! We drove from Sedona to the Grand Canyon, it rained the whole way. We checked in at the campground, which was just outside the park gates. It’s not what I would call a nice campground, it was, however, very convenient and inexpensive. We set up and headed right for the park, the rain had let up and the skies were clearing. We wanted Liam and Quinn”s first look at the Grand Canyon to be something they would remember. We covered their eyes until we got to the overlook....
